The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) support for the governorship campaign of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, was unveiled at the RHA secretariat, Olubi Street in Ikorodu on Saturday.
The initiative which is grassroots -based support for Dr. Hamzat’s aspiration was unveiled by the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinn Agbaje.
Comrade Japheth Odesanya, Coordinator, RHA Ikorodu Division, speaking at the brief ceremony said that he was following a directive from above to give maximum support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial consensus candidate.
He said that at the RHA in Ikorodu, the directive and support for Dr Hamzat is being ceremonialised to give it massive grassroots participation.
“What we are gathered here for today is the unveiling of the incoming governor of Lagos State at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ secretariat in Ikorodu. Let it be on record that it is unveiled by the Special Adviser on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje.”
He thanked Hon. Ogunleye and the former Deputy Governor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye for the opportunity given to him to serve in the capacity as the Coordinator of RHA in Ikorodu.
At the unveiling were Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, representative, Ikorodu Constituency I, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Folashade Olabanji -Oba, Commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Lateef Afinni, former Secretary to Ikorodu LG, Mr Kehinde Ayanbadejo, Secretary, APC Ikorodu and Mrs. Abiola Shoaga.
